The role
We are looking for a temporary (6 months) Assistant Coordinator to assist in providing our European Liner Organizations with a competitive inland operating network. You will support the delivery of high-quality daily operational inland services to our customers through meticulous data management and procurement support.
Key Responsibilities
Tariff & System Management: Maintain vendor tariff costs related to transport and depot activities within the OPUS operational system.
Operational Updates: Execute updates and create inland legs and routes while monitoring for correct reflection in the system.
Cost Recovery: Contribute to a cost-recovery mindset, specifically regarding ancillary costs such as storage, waiting costs, and futile trips.
Data Integrity: Monitor the daily correctness and validity of data to allow front-line teams to organize pricing efficiently.
Stakeholder Support: Support the Procurement Team by updating vendor databases and assisting with studies related to contract or tariff enhancements.
Compliance: Ensure all processes are fully compliant with company rules, including the UK Bribery Act and AEO procedures.
Skills & Expertise
Industry Experience: Prior operational experience across the Continental area.
Network Knowledge: A strong understanding of the European Inland Intermodal network is preferable.
Financial experience: Experience with handling AP invoices.
Technical Proficiency: Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.
Language Skills: Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
Professionalism: High levels of business awareness, customer focus, and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours in accordance with operational business needs and departmental KPIs.
