As a dynamic and rapidly growing leader in the shipping sector, we are excited to expand our global footprint by establishing our presence in Greece (Piraeus) We are seeking an experienced HR & GA Manager to build and lead our Human Resources function in Greece. This is a foundational role where you will be responsible for shaping our company culture and establishing all HR systems and processes from the ground up.
As a key member of the Greek leadership team, you will be both a strategic partner and a hands-on leader, ensuring we attract, develop, and retain the very best talent. You will be responsible for creating a positive, compliant, and high-performance work environment in our new Greece office Key Responsibilities:
HR Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement a local HR strategy that aligns with our global business objectives and champions our company culture in Greece, Piraeus .Act as the primary HR advisor to the local leadership team and champion our company culture in Greece.
Legal Compliance & Employee Relations: Ensure full compliance with Greek Labour Law. Confidently manage the full spectrum of employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes.
Talent Acquisition: Build and manage the end-to-end recruitment process in Greece, from sourcing and interviewing to offer negotiation and onboarding.
HR Administration: Handle all HR administrative duties, including maintaining employee records, preparing data for payroll, and managing benefits enrolment.
Compensation & Benefits: Design and administer a competitive local compensation and benefits structure in line with Greek market standards..
Policy & Process Development: Create, implement, and maintain all local HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks in accordance with local legislation.
General Affairs & Office Management: Oversee all General Affairs functions to ensure a professional and efficient office environment. Responsibilities include managing office facilities, coordinating with vendors and suppliers (e.g., IT, cleaning, supplies), and ensuring health & safety compliance

Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
5 years of experience in a similar role
Fluency in both Greek and English (written and verbal) is essential
Knowledge of Greek Labour Law and HR best practices is essential.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills with a keen eye for detail.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently.
Proven experience in building an HR function or working within a start-up or new market expansion is highly desirable
