Contract - Full Time, 35 hours per week, Permanent
Ocean Network Express is looking for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our UK & Ireland Agency. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident HR generalist who thrives on variety, enjoys partnering with stakeholders, and has a strong grounding in employee relations and employment law.
You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, commercially focused HR support across the full employee lifecycle, while also contributing to strategic HR priorities and continuous improvement projects.
This role is Southampton-based, with regular travel to support teams in Ipswich, Liverpool and Dublin, so flexibility is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert HR guidance and support to employees and managers across the UK & IE business
Lead on complex employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances and absence management
Support recruitment activity and help attract and secure top talent
Identify learning and development needs and deliver internal training sessions
Assist the Head of HR in delivering strategic priorities including D&I and transformation initiatives
Use HR data, KPIs and management information to influence business decisions
Deputise for the Head of HR when required and provide cover for the HR Coordinator
Significant experience in a generalist HR advisory role
Strong knowledge of UK & Irish employment law and HR best practice
Proven ability to manage complex employee relations issues
Commercial and strategic mindset
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise under pressure
