Key Account Specialist (Inside Sales) - m/f/d

JOB PURPOSE & PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role you will be responsible for complementing and supporting Global Key Account Executives activities for designated Global Key Accounts. 

  • Smooth customer and service oriented performance for designated key accounts

  • Pro-active account management incl. follow-up on sales leads 

  • Make quotations to customers for designated accounts incl. follow-up

  • Negotiate prices and secure best cargo mix 

  • Produce and update ratesheets

  • Active communicator with international internal as well as external stakeholders

  • Escalation point for enquiries or complaints

  • Liaise cross functionally to overcome operational issues

  • Ensure compliance with company rules 

  • Promoting e-commerce platform and self-service tools as applicable

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • A minimum of 3 years of professional shipping experience preferably within Inside Sales/Key Account

  • Distinct customer and service focus

  • Persuasive, target- and result oriented, competitive with strong communication and negotiating skills

  • Advanced MS Excel skills and a strong administrative focus

  • Broad shipping knowledge with cross functional and commercial mind-set & knowhow

  • Business fluent in English and local language

  • Strong digital orientation and growth mind-set
