
COORDINATOR TRANSPORT PLANNING
Job Purpose & Primary Job Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to optimize transportation performance and manage expenses in fulfillment of organizational goals, and to deliver a high-standard quality service to customers in consideration of costs.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Transport Coordination: Arranging, communicating, and optimizing the transport requirements for both laden (full) and empty containers. This involves maximizing available operational resources to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective transport modes are implemented.
- Customer and Vendor Management: Ensuring a solid relationship with ONE's customer service departments Europe-wide to maintain high-quality service standards. All customers' requirements must be observed and completed in line with local requirements.
- Communication and Solutions: Ensuring that any transport issues, costs, or performance-related matters are correctly communicated both internally and externally.
- Administration: Ensuring that the systems are correctly updated in close cooperation with internal departments so that invoice payments can be effectively processed by the Transport Administration colleague.
LOCATION
This is a local position based in the Rotterdam Agency Office.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- 3-5 Years shipping operations/vendor experience.
- Vocational/MBO qualification required.
- Fluent English proficiency (C-level/B2).
- High-level problem-solving & data analysis.
- Loaded/empty container transport coordination.
- Cost control & optimization expertise.
- High-Level execution and quality control.
- Effective stakeholder Communication and Service Focus.
- European geographical knowledge (Plus).
